Demarcus Robinson was arrested on Monday for suspicion of driving under the influence, but the Los Angeles Rams wideout will play against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday.
Robinson was pulled over in Woodland Hills, Calif., early on Monday morning driving over 100 miles per hour, per California Highway Patrol. Authorities noted “symptoms of alcohol impairment” before arresting Robinson.
Still, Rams coach Sean McVay said that Robinson will play against the Saints and won’t face a suspension for the incident.
“I do believe that he’s remorseful,” McVay said at his Wednesday press conference. “We are going to let the legal process take place. The league has a process as well. He won’t be suspended.
“I think he does understand the severity of this and how lucky we were that nobody was injured.”
Robinson stood out for the Rams early in the season, when both Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp were on injured reserve. The journeyman wide receiver has caught 26 passes for 384 yards and six touchdowns in 2024, and he caught the game-winning touchdown against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 10.
Sunday’s game between the Rams and Saints begins at 4:05 p.m. ET.
