Three Stooges return to the big screen

The Alex Film Society presents “The Three Stooges 26th Annual Big Screen Event” on Saturday, Nov. 30, at 2 and 8 p.m. in the Alex Theatre in Glendale.

The annual event is held on the Saturday after Thanksgiving and features big screen fun with the Stooges. The festival includes “Slippery Silks” (1936), “Grips, Grunts and Groans” (1937), “Flat Foot Stooges” (1938), “Goofs and Saddles” (1937), “How High Is Up?” (1940) and “Hot Scots” (1948).

All shorts are presented on pristine 35 mm black and white prints, courtesy of Sony Pictures. The event also includes a raffle. Tickets purchases support the Alex Film Society, a nonprofit arts organization dedicated to the preservation and presentation of classic movies on the big screen.
