Senior Bowl Interview: UCF RB RJ Harvey Met With Steelers Brass, Enjoys Watching Le’Veon Bell
UCF running back RJ Harvey has been making waves at the Senior Bowl, showcasing his skills in front of NFL scouts and coaches. One of the standout moments from his week in Mobile, Alabama, came when he met with the Pittsburgh Steelers’ brass during interviews. Harvey, who has drawn attention for his explosive running style and versatility, spoke highly of his interactions with the Steelers’ front office.
“I had a great conversation with the Steelers’ coaches and scouts,” Harvey said. “They really value a versatile running back, and that’s something I try to bring to the table – being able to contribute both in the run game and as a pass catcher.”
Harvey, who had a standout career at UCF, also discussed his admiration for former Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell. Known for his unique running style and ability to catch passes out of the backfield, Bell has been a huge influence on Harvey’s development as a well-rounded back.
“I’ve always enjoyed watching Le’Veon Bell,” Harvey said. “His patience, vision, and ability to do it all on the field have always stood out to me. I try to model my game after him, especially his ability to change tempo and make defenders miss.”
With teams looking for a versatile playmaker in the backfield, Harvey’s performance at the Senior Bowl and his strong interviews, including with the Steelers, have only bolstered his stock as he looks toward the NFL Draft.
