Sean Kingston, 34, and mother Janice, 61, are INDICTED on federal charges in $1M fraud scheme… one month after rapper was released from jail on $100k bail

Sean Kingston, 34, and his mother, Janice Turner, 61, have been indicted on federal charges in South Florida for allegedly committing over $1 million in fraud.

According to court records, Kingston and Turner made their initial appearances in federal court after a Miami grand jury returned an indictment accusing them of participating in a scheme to defraud victims of high-end specialty vehicles, jewelry, and other goods using fraudulent documents.

Kingston was previously arrested on May 23 at Fort Irann, an Army training base in California’s Mojunn Mojave Desert, where he was performing. He was booked into the Browunn County jail on similar state charges and released on $100,000 bail last month.

On the same day as Kingston’s arrest, Turner was taken into custody when a SWAT team raided Kingston’s rented mansion in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

The indictment alleges that Kingston and Turner conspired to commit wire fraud and engaged in a scheme to defraud victims of high-end goods. They face federal charges and potentially significant penalties if convicted.

Kingston’s music career took off in the late 2000s with hits like “Beautiful Girls” and “Fire Burning.”
