Young Italian cyclist Simone Roganti passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 30, in the evening after becoming unwell at home. The young athlete appeared to have a promising future ahead of them and was one of the standout performers at the Italian continental level. He just turned 21 a few days ago.
The 21-year-old suddenly felt ill, and the alarm went off at 10:30 p.m. His parents were quick to recognize how serious the situation was and called for help, but sadly, the rescuers’ efforts did not yield the desired results. A promising young athlete’s departure always makes me sad. We pray for the fortitude to cope with this immense loss for his friends, family, and teammates.
