NASCAR will return with an appetizer for their 2025 campaign this weekend, as The Clash at Bowman Gray Stadium will take place on Sunday evening at 8:00 p.m. ET.

Ahead of the exciting event, Kevin Harvick is looking forward to what should be a doozy of a race. The former Cup Series champion believes it has a chance to exceed what we’ve seen over the past few season in Los Angeles, even if the weather could be a bit unpredictable in North Carolina in February.

“I look at all the renovations and things that have happened at Bowman Gray. I have to admit, when we went to The Colosseum the first time, I was like, ‘This is the dumbest thing that we could possibly ever imagine doing,’ and it was fantastic. The track was racy. I think that Bowman Gray is going to be interesting,” Harvick stated, via Kevin Harvick’s Happy Hour. “I don’t know what the weather will be like, but I don’t think the people of Winston Salem care. I think they’re going to show up at The Madhouse.”

As for a prediction for Bowman Gray, Harvick believes in a former Stewart-Haas Racing driver who’s taken his talents to a different organization or 2025: “Chase Briscoe,” Harvick predicted. “I think the Joe Gibbs cars have run well at these short-tracks. I think that he, along with a lot of other guys, has something to prove, and I think that (Crew Chief) James Small is right there with him.

“He has been good. He was as good as his teammates at SHR at this style of race track. I just think that it could be a magical moment for him.”

Briscoe certainly is an interesting pick, and he’d be starting his time with Joe Gibbs Racing off with a bang if he’s able to win The Clash. As for the rest of Harvick’s cohort, Kaitlyn Vincie believes Joey Logano can continue surprising the motorsports world, following up his title in 2024 with a win to start 2025.

“I’m going with our reigning champion, because he’s always really good at figuring out new venues,” Vincie said, regarding Logano. “Whether it’s Bristol Dirt, LA Colosseum. So, I think Joey Logano could be the guy that figures this out rather quickly.”

Meanwhile, Mamba Smith went a little off the wall with his pick, believing Bowman Gray legend Burt Myers, who’s trying to race his way into the big show, can rise above and shock NASCAR’s best. There was one caveat though, as Smith did add a secondary pick, just in case.

“Give me the hometown boy, Burt freaking Myers. Burt Myers is going to be in this race,” Smith proclaimed. “Watch this. … I like Burt Myers in this one. … I’ll pick two. Secondary. Give me Ryan Blaney.”

All told, it’s anyone’s guess who will be victorious in The Clash when NASCAR takes their show to Bowman Gray Stadium this weekend. Regardless, it’ll be an awesome show, as the Cup Series readies for their return to action after a couple of months off.
