Grand final hero re-signs with Panthers for two more years

Paul Alamoti has signed a contract extension with Penrith Panthers, with the two-year extension and the remaining year on his current deal tying him to the club through 2027.

The 20-year-old made his first-grade debut back in 2023 and has played 35 NRL games in two seasons for the Bulldogs and Panther

Alamoti scored eight tries and went 18 for 26 with the boot in 16 NRL matches while also crossing three times in seven matches in NSW Cup

He has played a key role in the team’s premiership success which includes scoring a try in the grand final. The 20-year-old even made his Test debut for Tonga last Friday against Australia at Suncorp Stadium following an impressive season.

The Milperra Colts junior was selected for the Australian Schoolboys merit team back in 2019. He represented New South Wales in the Under-19s State of Origin in 2022. While speaking about the contract extension of the player, the Panthers’ general manager, Shane Elford said this (via Penrith Panther.
“He has taken every opportunity presented to him, and we are excited to see what the future holds for him with the Panthers. We’re pleased to have Paul commit to Panthers until the end of 2027. Paul is an exceptionally talented and respectful young man, both on and off the field.”
