Good Call Or Not? Vancouver Canucks Defenceman Quinn Hughes Thrown Out Early In Ottawa
The Vancouver Canucks lost their best defenceman early on Saturday night in Ottawa. Quinn Hughes was ejected after a cross-check in the back on Senators centre Josh Norris sent him face first into the end boards.
Norris had the puck behind the Canucks’ net and tried to cut back in the opposite direction, just as Hughes cross checked him in the lower back.
That propelled Norris forward where he got a mouthful of end boards.
Norris left the ice for repairs and Sens fans were mainly glad that he hadn’t suffered yet another shoulder injury. Canucks fans weren’t happy that Hughes got five minutes and was ejected from the game.
