Analysis
The addition of Shai Bolton adds an extra level of class to the Fremantle forward line – which flourished last season with Josh Treacy’s breakout year, kicking 45 goals in 20 games.
With Jye Amiss likely to chip in with 40-odd goals and Luke Jackson providing a target, the Dockers suddenly look like they have a devastating forward line.
The likes of Nat Fyfe, Jaeger O’Meara and Will Brodie aren’t walk up starts in the best 22 with their starting midfield trio of Caleb Serong, Andrew Brayshaw and Hayden Young looking one of the most well-balanced and damaging in the competition.
A fit Brennan Cox will return to the defence as a key position, but there is able defensive back-ups with Josh Draper impressing last season and Oscar McDonald fit.
Positions in the forward line will be hotly contested with the likes of Michael Walters, Bailey Banfield and Quinton Narkle all on the periphery.
Notable players to miss out
Michael Walters, James Aish, Will Brodie, Quinton Narkle, Oscar McDonald, Corey Wagner, Josh Draper, Bailey Banfield
