Cryptic Nico Iamaleava social media posts have Tennessee Vols fans worried

It sure was a busy day for the Tennessee Vols football team on Friday. Things started with standout running back Dylan Sampson announcing he’s going to be leaving Knoxville to pursue his NFL dreams. Things didn’t stop there, though.

News dropped that Boo Carter was going to potentially end up leaving town to play elsewhere, with a role on offense on his mind. Carter ended up signing a new deal to stay with Tennessee, but wideout Squirrel White decided to transfer, catching plenty of people off guard.

With White now in the transfer portal, he becomes the fifth Tennessee wideout this offseason to pursue playing options elsewhere. This is something quarterback Nico Iamaleava is fully aware of. Is he ticked off about things? We don’t know, but his latest social media activity sure has people taling. What is Nico trying to tell us?

Latest Nico Iamaleava social media activity has Tennessee fans worried

First, Nico posted a picture with the thinking face emoji, but then he deleted it. He then posted the same photo shortly after, but this time with the woozy face emoji. Perhaps he’s hinting that he can’t believe how many guys are bolting on Tennessee?

Who knows, but the standout quarterback can’t be too happy about losing so many of his friends on offense. With Carter returning to Knoxville in 2025, though, the expectation is that he’ll now play both sides and make plays for head man Josh Heupel and Iamaleava on offense.

In addition to White, Kaleb Webb, Chas Nimrod, Nathan Leacock and Nate Spillman ALL won’t be back with the team next season too. That’s a lot of WR talent on the way out the door. Losing a veteran like White is not what anyone expected at this point of the offseason. Youngsters on this team are going to have to play beyond their years for UT in 2025. Nico will be ready to see who can step up.
