Auburn has added to its 2025 recruiting class.
The program had a busy Early Signing Period in December. Auburn has already seen 21 newcomers from the high school class enroll, with 4 more signed. That’s not counting 16 players out of the transfer portal.
There’s still a National Signing Day in February. That’s when Omar Mabson will sign with the Tigers.
Mabson announced his commitment to play for Hugh Freeze on Monday. He’s a local running back who has reclassified from the Class of 2026 to the Class of 2025.
Mabson shared the big news with the help of On3’s Hayes Fawcett:
Out of Auburn High School, Mabson is listed as measuring 5-9 and 200 pounds. Mabson is rated 3-stars, the No. 37 player in Alabama and No. 86 running back by 247Sports. He does not have a Composite ranking.
During his recruitment, Mabson received scholarship offers from 24 programs. Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Mizzou, Tennessee, and Vanderbilt were among the other programs that showed interest.
Auburn fans who don’t follow local high school football can get a preview of what Mabson brings to the team by checking out his highlights from the Hudl video linked to in the post below:
