In a departure from tradition, Alabama football’s A-Day event will no longer feature a traditional spring game. Instead, the 2025 event will consist of an hour-and-a-half practice session, giving fans a unique glimpse into the team’s preparation for the upcoming season.
New Format
The practice session, scheduled for Saturday, April 12, at 12 p.m. CT, will be held inside Saban Field at Bryant-Denny Stadium. This new format will provide fans with an intimate look at the team’s drills, scrimmages, and coaching interactions.
Free Admission
In a gesture of appreciation to fans, admission to the practice session will be free. Fans can attend and enjoy the festivities without incurring any costs.
Additional Activities
To enhance the fan experience, the Champions Lane area will feature a live DJ, autograph areas, and food trucks. Fans can indulge in music, food, and interactive activities while taking in the sights and sounds of the practice session.
Campus-Wide Events
The A-Day event will be part of a larger celebration of Alabama Athletics, with multiple events taking place across campus. Fans can also attend the track’s Crimson Tide Invitational, baseball’s matchup with Mississippi State, and softball’s contest with Oklahoma.
Evolution of A-Day
The changes to Alabama’s A-Day event reflect a broader trend in college football, where some programs are opting out of traditional spring games or modifying them to better suit their teams’ needs. By shifting the focus to a practice session, Alabama is providing fans with a fresh perspective on the team’s preparation and training.
The 2025 A-Day event promises to be an exciting and unique experience for Alabama football fans. With its new format, free admission, and additional activities, this event is not to be missed.
