Kyle Larson will enter the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series season with a slightly different Hendrickcars.com paint scheme, and another sponsor will have a similar outcome. On Thursday morning, Hendrick Motorsports revealed a new Valvoline paint scheme for Larson and the No. 5 team. Compared to the 2024 NASCAR season, this is one notable change.
Instead of the white hood with the Valvoline logo, it will be changed to red for the upcoming season. The company name will change from blue to white, giving the No. 5 car a full red base. While the hood will change from white to red, the roof will stay white with a blue No. 5 and the Valvoline logo near the back window. Larson will also have less white near the front tires compared to the 2024 season.
Overall, Larson’s new Valvoline paint scheme feels like an improvement over the 2024 version. The full red base makes the roof pop out more and gives the car more character. Larson brought Valvoline to victory lane at Sonoma Raceway during the 2024 season, and the hope is that success can translate to 2025 as the No. 5 team looks to bounce back.
