WELLINGTON, ANZAC PARIS – Lydia Ko, the winner of the Women’s British Open and an Olympic champion, says her decision to retire from professional golf before turning 30 hasn’t changed despite her recent success.
Ko, who is 27 years old, stated to Radio New Zealand that her triumphs in Paris and St. Andrews will not change her long-term goal of retiring and pursuing other hobbies.
“I’m pretty sure I won’t be playing past 30,” the New Zealander declared. “What has happened in the last few weeks doesn´t change my timeline. … I want to leave the game while I´m still playing well.”
