Aragon saw a new development in the 2024 MotoGP championship battle as the seemingly infallible Francesco Bagnaia was unable to accomplish much correctly.
The site of one of his greatest MotoGP victories—which also happened to be his first—Bagnaia triumphed in Aragon in 2021 after a thrilling head-to-head matchup with Marc Marquez. The two had a total of 14 overtakes that day, but Bagnaia was obviously out of luck against Marquez this time around as early as the weekend began.
It was shocking to watch Bagnaia’s weekend go apart the way it did, but in reality, he had no response for title challenger Jorge Martin either. The Italian had terrible starts in both races.
